Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform scheduled preventative maintenance, DOT inspections, and follow-up repairs for trucks and trailers in a mobile/field environment.
  • •Perform and diagnose minor and follow-up mechanical repairs across electrical/brake/cooling systems, engines (gas/diesel), transmissions, starters/alternators, clutches, differentials, and related components.
  • •Diagnose, adjust, and repair trailer equipment and systems including brakes, air lines, auxiliary pumps/engines, liftgates, brake chambers, and related fabrication/welding tasks.
  • •Inspect, test, and road-test vehicles to diagnose malfunctions; use test instruments and tools to identify issues and determine appropriate fixes.
  • •Complete DOT forms and repair orders, documenting work, parts used, and findings via company standards/app; manage parts inventory and vehicle safety checks while coordinating with support/management.

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma/GED and 3 years’ experience in a related field (or equivalent experience/education combination).
  • •Possess and supply a set of hand tools necessary to perform required job duties.
  • •Obtain Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certification T8 (PMI) within eighteen (18) months.
  • •Be able to successfully complete and pass DOT-regulated pre-employment background screening and DOT physical (or submit a current DOT medical card with sufficient remaining validity).
  • •Be at least 21 years or older and hold a valid state-of-residence driver’s license; maintain required driver qualification file and MVR review.
