Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide non-medical, short-term, solution-focused counseling directly to eligible children and youth at assigned primary and secondary locations, including assessment, brief counseling, consultation, action planning, referrals, and follow-up.
  • •Support Child Development Centers (CDC), youth programs, and summer camps (if available/assigned), including parent support, training, and guidance.
  • •Deliver training and health and wellness presentations and participate in health fairs and base/installation activities focused on children and youth.
  • •Enter counselor activity data daily through a smartphone or web application to ensure accurate reporting while maintaining confidentiality and anonymity.
  • •Establish relationships with community resources and coordinate with installation/military Points of Contact (POC) and regional leadership through supervision, critical-incident response, and training/quality improvement initiatives.

Salary: USD 59,922 - 100,280

Key Requirements

  • •Master’s degree from an accredited graduate program in a mental health related field.
  • •Valid unrestricted independent counseling license to provide counseling as an independent practitioner.
  • •Less than 2 years of post-licensure clinical experience.
  • •Demonstrate intermediate-level technology competencies (e.g., Microsoft Suite, internet navigation, smartphone/tablet and video-conferencing platform navigation).
  • •Pass required background and clearance checks (CNACI, Installation Records Check, Criminal History Background Check, FBI fingerprints) and prove US Citizenship while being fluent in English.
