Key Responsibilities

  • •Design, build, and maintain scalable services across the Control Plane, including the CLI, management daemons, and supporting libraries in modern C++.
  • •Extend configuration management and translate high-level policy into low-level forms consumed by the data plane, including validation, commit/save semantics, and compilation.
  • •Evolve the on-device REST API and React-based web UI, delivering a modern management experience alongside CLI and programmatic interfaces.
  • •Own the inter-process communication layer between Control Plane and data plane, balancing throughput/latency and partnering on interface changes.
  • •Own and evolve the programmatic API surface for the central management console with strong versioning, backward compatibility, and test automation.

Key Requirements

  • •6+ years building production C++ (C++17+) software on Linux, with meaningful exposure to C in mixed-language codebases.
  • •Working knowledge of POSIX/Linux systems programming including processes/threads, event-driven I/O, and inter-process communication over sockets.
  • •Strong TCP/IP networking fundamentals with appliance-side concerns and packet-level debugging using tcpdump or Wireshark.
  • •Experience designing and consuming REST APIs with resource modeling, versioning, authn/authz, and error semantics.
  • •Experience with shell scripting and Python for build tooling, automation, and system-level testing.
