Key Responsibilities

  • •Serve as primary subject matter expert for process safety, risk management, human factors, and qualitative/quantitative risk assessment.
  • •Act as custodian of the site’s COMAH Safety Report and site Process Safety Technical Authority maintaining required documentation.
  • •Manage site risk management tools/studies (HAZOP, LOPA, OBRA, QRAs, Enterprise Risk Register) and ensure compliance to corporate standards.
  • •Lead/support incident investigations and provide root cause analysis support when process safety issues are involved.
  • •Support emergency preparedness and technical/process safety initiatives, including COMAH emergency exercises and shutdown risk briefing for contractors.

Key Requirements

  • •Degree in Safety, Mechanical or Process Engineering.
  • •Chartered Engineer in Safety, Mechanical and/or Process.
  • •IChemE Professional Process Safety Engineer (PPSE) accreditation or working towards it.
  • •Extensive process engineering/process safety experience in oil & gas or other regulated industries.
  • •Broad experience of onshore petrochemical operations and ability to use Microsoft packages and SAP S4 HANA.
