Job Summary

Own natural gas gathering and processing accounting across the revenue lifecycle, including plant settlement, revenue recognition, and production allocation. Perform volume and value reconciliation, interpret commercial contracts, and support month-end close activities with journal entries, accruals, invoicing, and account reconciliations. Conduct variance analysis, investigate reconciliation/system differences, partner with Commercial/Operations/Measurement/Marketing teams, and drive process improvements and automation. Ensure GAAP and SOX control compliance and support audits.

•Manage revenue and operational accounting activities, including plant settlement, revenue recognition, and production allocation.
•Perform volume and value reconciliation to ensure accuracy of reported statistical information and revenues.
•Analyze and interpret commercial contracts to ensure proper financial application.
•Support and execute month-end close processes, including journal entries, accruals, payments, invoicing, and account reconciliations.
•Conduct variance analysis and investigate/resolve reconciliation differences, data differences, and system variances; partner with cross-functional teams to validate revenue drivers and recommend process improvements.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 82,000 - 124,000 annually

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance with job-related experience.
•Thorough knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles, company financial accounting, and billing methods.
•Experience with and/or training related to financial accounting and reporting standards, interpreting accounting standards/policies, and communicating those standards.
•Ability to support month-end close activities, including preparing journal entries, accruals, payments, invoicing, and account reconciliations.
•Ability to analyze variances and resolve reconciliation/data/system differences in a timely manner.
