Job Summary

Assist the Chief Engineer and Second Engineer with safe operation, maintenance, and repair of all engine room machinery onboard a dredger. Perform engine room watchkeeping in line with STCW and company procedures, operate and maintain auxiliary engines and dredging-related hydraulic systems, and execute Planned Maintenance System (PMS) tasks. Maintain engine room records, monitor fuel and water/ballast systems, support bunkering and emergency readiness, and contribute during dry dock, surveys, and inspections while following safety and environmental requirements.

Key Responsibilities

•Assist the Chief Engineer and Second Engineer in the safe operation, maintenance, and repair of all engine room machinery onboard the dredger.
•Carry out engine room watchkeeping duties per STCW, company procedures, and vessel operational requirements.
•Operate, monitor, and maintain auxiliary engines, generators, pumps, compressors, separators, and hydraulic systems related to dredging equipment.
•Execute Planned Maintenance System (PMS) tasks and report defects and breakdowns in a timely manner.
•Maintain engine room logbooks, maintenance records, checklists, and inventory of spares and consumables.

Key Requirements

•Hold valid STCW certification
•Hold 3rd Engineer CoC
•Have medical fitness
•Have experience on dredgers
