Key Responsibilities

  • •Design, build, integrate, operate, and own incident response for the bank’s core technical surfaces, including cloud infrastructure, data platform, durable workflows, core banking configuration, CI/CD, networking, and the Bank ↔ Affirm Inc integration.
  • •Set and improve code review and design standards, raise expectations for examiner-readable documentation, and increase team effectiveness.
  • •Use AI-first approaches to improve code, design review, runbook generation, and operations.
  • •Own one or more third-party vendor relationships end-to-end, including integration, operations, escalation, and audit.
  • •Partner with Legal, Compliance, Risk, and Internal Audit to factor in compliance from day one and create decisions/designs/runbooks that hold up under examiner and audit review.

Key Requirements

  • •6+ years of software engineering experience with senior-strong, hands-on ownership through launch and operations.
  • •Comfort working in ambiguity while balancing speed with engineering judgment.
  • •Bias toward simplicity and experience operating in or building toward a small, lean engineering culture.
  • •Fluency with AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Claude, Cursor, Codex) and agentic workflows to drive outcomes.
  • •Strong systems thinking across public cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred), infrastructure-as-code (Terraform), and cloud data platforms (Snowflake or comparable).
