Job Summary

The Project Finance Specialist provides financial and operational support to project teams, driving project financial performance and ensuring compliance. Responsibilities include project cost tracking, revenue recognition, budgeting, invoicing, and ERP-based project lifecycle accounting. Collaborates with Project Managers, Procurement, and Commercial teams, delivering timely reporting and maintaining strong relationships with remote teams.

Key Responsibilities

•Provide efficient and accurate project accounting services on a day-to-day basis for small-medium projects, managing a portfolio of projects with varying values
•Monitor and analyse the collection, recording, and allocation of project costs, ensuring accurate revenue recognition and communicating financial performance to stakeholders
•Manage project lifecycle accounting in the ERP, tracking budgets to costs, validating invoicing, project close-out, and reconciling payables/receivables to budgets; handle labor/expense transfers
•Assist with subcontractor set-ups in UBW, subcontractor agreements, and raising requisitions/POs in the ERP; collaborate with Procurement and evaluate subconsultant invoice submissions
•Prepare project billing and initiate invoicing with the GSS team; maintain billing information and follow up with project teams/clients/AR on late payments; use third-party portals as required

Key Requirements

•Tertiary degree in commerce, accounting, finance or business administration with at least 3-5 years' experience in Project Finance and maintaining financial data in an ERP
•Proficiency with spreadsheets and pivot tables, including VLOOKUP and SUMIFS; ability to format, sort, and filter data
•Working knowledge of project accounting principles and their application to project work-related issues
•Analytical mindset with the ability to exercise independent judgement and communicate financial implications to both financial and non-financial audiences
•Ability to work with remote teams, manage multiple priorities, and comply with company policies in a dynamic environment
