Key Responsibilities

  • •Monitor and provide first-response to cloud health issues impacting or potentially impacting customer experience.
  • •Troubleshoot issues across systems, networking, and storage at scale, from single Droplets to cloud-wide disturbances.
  • •Automate operational processes and build tools to improve operational efficiency.
  • •Coordinate operational work across teams to improve the platform with minimal impact.
  • •Ensure maximum uptime for global infrastructure, including weekend coverage as needed.

Key Requirements

  • •Solid experience with Linux operating systems and day-to-day upkeep.
  • •Familiarity with virtualization technologies and troubleshooting virtual machine instances.
  • •Familiarity with containerization technologies and troubleshooting containers.
  • •Familiarity with IPv4 networking and troubleshooting (CCNA equivalent).
  • •Experience with monitoring systems and incident management, plus scripting in Bash, Python, or Ruby and configuration management systems.
