Key Responsibilities

  • •Operate the vehicle according to applicable state and federal transportation laws.
  • •Transport loads safely and on schedule while obeying all traffic laws and safety regulations.
  • •Maneuver the truck and trailer into loading/unloading areas and follow loading crew signals.
  • •Assist with loading/unloading using specialized equipment and return equipment to designated areas.
  • •Maintain required delivery paperwork (invoices, shipping bills of lading) and perform routine truck service while reporting maintenance issues.

Key Requirements

  • •Must hold a commercial drivers license (Class A CDL) (or chauffeur’s license depending on state) appropriate for the vehicle weight.
  • •Pass background and drug testing per federal/state DOT requirements, including a DOT physical.
  • •Must be at least 21 years old to operate a company vehicle.
  • •Strong interpersonal and customer service skills to speak professionally with customers and staff at delivery points.
  • •Ability to safely lift and move up to 40 pounds and perform prolonged periods sitting in a trailer cab.
