Key Responsibilities

  • •Handle assigned large loss and catastrophic property claims promptly, making decisions within delegated authority and recommending settlement values.
  • •Accurately pay claims based on policy provisions, state mandates/fee schedules, and determine proper coverages using company methodologies.
  • •Open, close, and adjust reserves to ensure reserve adequacy, and maintain knowledge of court decisions and policy changes.
  • •Create/analyze severe incident and reinsurance reports and coordinate with Special Investigation Unit and Subrogation on fraud/subrogation opportunities.
  • •Deliver outstanding customer service and may act for the Claims Manager, mentoring and training less experienced associates as assigned.
