Key Responsibilities

•Own and enhance security design for Virta's cloud environment, improving security controls in GCP and Kubernetes.
•Champion secure development by integrating security best practices early in the software development lifecycle.
•Build and automate security tooling to streamline vulnerability detection, remediation, and compliance verification.
•Refine IAM strategy to enforce least-privilege access with robust auditing.
•Strengthen network security architecture, policies, and controls within the cloud environment.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 149,451 - 187,900 annually

Key Requirements

•Understanding and practical experience securing cloud-native apps and infrastructure, especially Kubernetes; strong preference for GCP.
•Strong knowledge of networking, IAM, encryption, and common web vulnerabilities (OWASP Top 10).
•Excellent communication skills to convey security concepts and influence technical directions.
•Hands-on experience in application security, including threat modeling, secure coding, vulnerability management, and security testing (SAST/DAST/IAST).
•Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code tools, specifically Terraform.
