Key Responsibilities

  • •Develop and test security firmware IP subsystems for SSD products to meet technical specification requirements across security, performance, functionality, and quality/reliability.
  • •Create firmware unit and functional tests to verify the firmware subsystem meets quality, functional, and performance requirements at integration milestones.
  • •Provide consistent, detailed communication to management and multi-functional team members on firmware development activities and project status.
  • •Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with peers and management, and improve team involvement, morale, and productivity through technical capability.
  • •Integrate AI-assisted tools into daily work to improve efficiency, quality, or effectiveness while exercising sound judgment and complying with organizational standards.

Key Requirements

  • •PhD in Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering with at least 2 years of embedded firmware development, OR Masters/Bachelors in Electrical or Computer Engineering with at least 5 years embedded firmware development.
  • •Embedded Security domain knowledge and experience (advantage).
  • •Expertise in programming languages (C, C++, Rust) and programming tools/environments.
  • •Experience programming in Python (advantage) and understanding of storage interfaces such as PCIe/NVMe, SATA, or SAS.
  • •Experience with NAND flash and non-volatile storage, plus strong debugging, modification, and code problem resolution skills.
