Key Responsibilities

  • •Review and analyze rights-of-way, leases, deeds, assignments, bills of sale, contracts, and related land documents; prepare physical files.
  • •Enter new land documents into the Land Records Database and support scanning, barcoding, and indexing to database and intelligent capture.
  • •Plot land and pipeline legal descriptions (metes and bounds) for accurate data entry.
  • •Use GIS to confirm asset status and details; verify record accuracy by reviewing physical files.
  • •Research surface ownership using online county clerk/assessor/recorder databases and submit land documents for county recording. Maintain and organize land and pipeline maps and records, including offsite indexes.

Key Requirements

  • •1-3 years of oil and gas land records experience.
  • •Attention to detail with ability to perform detailed work with speed and accuracy.
  • •Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, able to communicate orally and in writing across internal teams and external contacts.
  • •Experience with mapping software, particularly ArcGIS, strongly preferred.
  • •Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access.
