Key Responsibilities

  • •Evaluate and appraise highly complex auto physical damage claims in accordance with contract terms, corporate guidelines, and state laws and regulations.
  • •Investigate claim damages by communicating with insureds, internal claims adjusters, and third-party vendors, including possible face-to-face interactions.
  • •Review facts of loss and vehicle damage documentation to determine subrogation opportunities and ensure supporting physical damage documentation is included.
  • •Maintain accurate, current claim file documentation and support timely claims adjudication through effective desk management and follow-ups.
  • •Assess fraud indicators and refer applicable cases to the Special Investigations Unit; review additional damage from repair facilities to complete supplements or triage for field inspections.

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma or GED.
  • •2 years of auto appraising experience.
  • •Proficient knowledge of P&C insurance policy contracts/coverages and the auto parts distribution and claim appraisal processes.
  • •Advanced working knowledge of estimating losses using CCC or similar estimating platforms.
  • •Acquire and maintain an insurance adjuster license within 90 days and 3 attempts.
