Key Responsibilities

  • •Load and unload logs as directed to meet production expectations.
  • •Remove logs from the kick-out bin daily with a knuckle-boom loader and move logs to the appropriate areas.
  • •Complete daily cleanup duties around the metal log field and kick-out bin.
  • •Fill in at the Scalehouse as needed, handling scale functions and log loading/unloading.
  • •Perform or assist with weekly preventative maintenance and complete daily check sheets, adhering to all safety rules and PPE requirements.

Key Requirements

  • •3-5 years of manufacturing experience in an industrial environment operating heavy-duty equipment.
  • •Ability to work safely and efficiently in a fast-paced production environment.
  • •Able to sit/stand for 8–12 hour shifts and climb in and out of machinery without assistance.
  • •Comfortable lifting/moving up to 25 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
  • •Knowledge/experience in wood manufacturing and machine operator/maintenance experience is an asset.
