Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide high-quality patient care for inpatient and outpatient pediatric pulmonology patients in accordance with professional competence and clinical privileges.
  • •Perform and supervise diagnostic and therapeutic procedures (bronchoscopies, pleural biopsies, pulmonary function tests) and supervise respiratory therapy services.
  • •Conduct regular ward rounds and formulate multidisciplinary treatment plans; assess and refer patients, including accepting referrals within specialty.
  • •Participate in the department on-call rota, respond to emergencies, and actively participate with specialty-related problems.
  • •Provide leadership in quality improvement, participate in CME/education and committee activities (e.g., quality improvement, infection control), and supervise assigned junior staff.

Key Requirements

  • •Required: American Board or Canadian Fellowship or MRCP or equivalent.
  • •Minimum five (5) years post-qualification experience in pediatric pulmonology.
  • •Current valid license to practice medicine in the specialty.
  • •Registration in Saudi Medical Council and/or current license to practice medicine in Saudi Arabia.
  • •Desirable: Higher qualifications in the specialty and additional subspecialty experience.
