Job Summary

Lead and optimize the performance, reliability, and lifecycle management of material handling equipment (MHE) and powered industrial trucks (PIT) within adidas distribution center operations. Own uptime and KPI management, drive root-cause analysis and corrective actions, oversee preventive/corrective maintenance and spare parts planning, and manage external vendors and service schedules. Partner cross-functionally with operations, engineering, maintenance, IT, and partners to improve safety, productivity, and cost efficiency through automation, retrofits, and upgrades.

Key Responsibilities

•Own day-to-day performance, uptime, and reliability for MHE/PIT assets (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks, conveyor/sortation systems, RFID equipment, PandA, ASRS).
•Ensure MHE/PIT capabilities support DC throughput, productivity, and service level expectations; monitor and manage KPIs including safety incidents, uptime/downtime, and maintenance intervals.
•Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance strategies, including spare parts inventory planning and availability to minimize downtime.
•Actively manage external partners/venders through relationship management, audits/performance reviews, service schedule coordination, and end-of-life equipment strategy.
•Serve as primary liaison across DC operations, engineering, maintenance, IT, and partners; lead automation/efficiency initiatives and manage project planning through acceptance.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in engineering, supply chain, operations, or a related field (or equivalent technical experience).
•Minimum 7 years of experience in distribution center, manufacturing, or logistics operations with a strong focus on MHE / PIT operations.
•Hands-on experience managing or supporting MHE / PIT systems in high-volume environments.
•Experience working with MHE/PIT and automation providers (e.g., KNAPP, Honeywell, or similar).
•Proven experience managing vendors, contracts, or external service providers and leading projects/initiatives related to operations or process improvement.
