Key Responsibilities

  • •Design and implement scalable, highly available backend services with monitoring and alerting.
  • •Ramp quickly into large codebases and de-risk changes by understanding blast radius and shipping confidently.
  • •Use AI in your workflow to generate and pressure-test approaches and verify/catch AI mistakes in the code you ship.
  • •Own end-to-end delivery across product requirements, architecture, development, quality assurance, and ongoing maintenance.
  • •Write clear design docs for under-specified problems and mentor others on best practices.

Key Requirements

  • •5+ years backend development experience, including 3-4 years in senior positions, building large-scale applications with observability.
  • •Strong computer science fundamentals (data structures, algorithms) and object-oriented design.
  • •Fluency using AI tools in real development work, with the judgment to verify and pressure-test AI output.
  • •Experience developing distributed web applications and writing highly performant, well-structured code.
  • •Experience with database modeling (SQL or NoSQL) and designing RESTful services.
