Job Summary

Join the Data Services team to advance database and data-plane systems at massive scale. You’ll maintain and automate clusters running Cassandra, ElasticSearch/OpenSearch, Kafka, Zookeeper, and multiple SQL/NoSQL databases, and build infrastructure services that support a full DevOps operating model. Partner with Engineering and Customer Support to troubleshoot production issues and help keep petabytes of critical data secure, reliable, and available in cloud environments.

•Maintain and automate data clusters across Cassandra, ElasticSearch/OpenSearch, Kafka, Zookeeper, MySQL, MongoDB, and PostgreSQL.
•Develop infrastructure services supporting the engineering team’s full DevOps model.
•Collaborate with Engineering and Customer Support to troubleshoot time-sensitive production issues.
•Ensure petabytes of critical business data remain safe, secure, and available.
•Work effectively with both local and remote teams to operate and improve data services.

Key Requirements

•Maintain deep expertise in Cassandra, ElasticSearch/OpenSearch, Kafka, Zookeeper, MySQL, MongoDB, and PostgreSQL to operate and automate properly configured clusters.
•Build and support infrastructure services toward a full DevOps operating model.
•Have strong configuration management experience (Chef, Salt, and/or Kubernetes) and/or strong Ruby experience.
•Operate within large-scale, business-critical Linux environments and troubleshoot time-sensitive production issues.
•Experience operating in the cloud (Amazon Web Services, GCP, and/or OCI) plus a Bachelor’s degree in an applicable field.
