Key Responsibilities

•Perform professional structural engineering analyses and design of transportation structures, such as bridges and retaining walls.
•Lead design efforts across project phases including concept development, preliminary and final design, procurement, and construction, coordinating with subconsultants and clients.
•Prepare design plans, specifications, quantities, and cost estimates while ensuring data integrity and compliance with codes and regulations.
•Develop technical reports and presentations to convey concepts, recommendations, and project progress to clients and stakeholders.
•Provide guidance and training to entry-level engineers and collaborate with regulatory agencies, subcontractors, and clients.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s Degree in Structural or Civil Engineering or closely related discipline.
•7 to 10 years of post-education engineering experience with prior structural or civil design experience.
•Registered Professional Engineer (preferably NC PE) or ability to obtain.
•Proficient knowledge of structural engineering principles, design/build processes, and code compliance.
•Strong technical writing and communication skills with the ability to mentor junior engineers and coordinate with multiple disciplines.
