Key Responsibilities

  • •Design robust, mission-ready hardware that is highly manufacturable, applying DFM and DFA principles across product development phases.
  • •Create mechanical parts and complex assemblies using processes such as welded structures, precision CNC machining, injection molding considerations, and advanced composite manufacturing.
  • •Author, check, and release fully defined engineering drawing packages in accordance with ASME Y14.5, including GD&T and tolerance stack-ups.
  • •Develop manufacturing documentation including work instructions, process sheets, and assembly documentation to enable production execution.
  • •Perform engineering analysis (tolerance stack-up analyses, design reviews, DFMEAs) and collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and iterate designs quickly.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
  • •7+ years of hands-on mechanical design experience with a deep focus on Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA).
  • •High proficiency with modern 3D CAD software (SolidWorks, NX, Creo) and associated PDM/PLM systems.
  • •Expert-level understanding and practical application of ASME Y14.5 (GD&T) for engineering drawings and tolerance stack-ups.
  • •Must be eligible to obtain / maintain US Security Clearance.
