Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform detailed engineering calculations, technical analyses, and design tasks for highway and roadway projects.
  • •Gather and correlate engineering data, identify discrepancies, and propose solutions using modifications of standard methods.
  • •Develop design criteria including horizontal/vertical alignments, superelevation, barrier/guardrail, spot elevations, and pavement designs.
  • •Oversee signing, pavement marking plans, construction phasing, and maintenance of traffic plans.
  • •Prepare construction specifications, quantities, cost estimates, technical reports, and 3D models using the specified design tools while coordinating interdisciplinary reviews.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering and 4 years of related highway/transportation design experience (or demonstrated equivalency).
  • •Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification (or ability to obtain within 12 months).
  • •Valid US driver’s license for site visits and client meetings.
  • •Demonstrated experience with Bentley OpenRoads Designer, MicroStation, AutoCAD Civil 3D, or similar design applications.
  • •Preferred: Professional Engineer (PE) license (or ability to obtain within 1 year) and experience with PennDOT/PA Turnpike or similar DOT projects.
