Job Summary

Join WSP’s Industrial Center of Excellence to support structural engineering work for food & beverage, Federal, and industrial facilities. Develop construction documents and structural drawings, specifications, and calculations, coordinating with architects and other disciplines. Use BIM-based workflows and tools including Autodesk Revit Structural and structural analysis/design software (STAAD, RAM, Risa). Review shop drawings, respond to RFIs, and provide construction phase support while taking ownership of project goals.

Key Responsibilities

•Design and analyze structural systems for building cores, shells, and foundations, including steel, concrete, and masonry elements.
•Prepare structural drawings, specifications, and calculations in compliance with applicable codes (IBC, ACI, AISC).
•Develop construction documents and support BIM-based design workflows for project teams and stakeholders.
•Coordinate structural design with architects and other disciplines (mechanical, electrical, civil) to integrate into facility plans.
•Review shop drawings, respond to RFIs, and provide construction phase support.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in Structural or Civil Engineering.
•1+ years of experience in structural design for facilities or industrial projects.
•Working knowledge of structural analysis/design software including STAAD, RAM, and Risa, as well as AutoCAD and Revit.
•Knowledge of building codes and standards (IBC, ACI, AISC) plus strong technical writing and coordination skills.
