Key Responsibilities

•Perform scheduled preventative maintenance (PM), DOT inspections, and follow-up repairs on light, medium, and heavy-duty vehicles in a mobile/field environment.
•Diagnose, adjust, and repair electrical/brake/cooling systems, starters/alternators, engine electronics, diesel steering, engines (gas/diesel), transmissions, clutches, and differentials.
•Inspect, test, and listen to defective equipment; use handheld computers and pressure gauges to diagnose malfunctions.
•Road test vehicles to confirm proper operation and identify issues.
•Maintain parts inventory and equipment on the company-issued service truck, complete repair documentation on repair orders, and ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and DOT regulations.

Key Requirements

•High school diploma/GED and 3 years’ experience in a related field (or an equivalent combination such as degree/certification beyond HS or 5 years’ experience).
•Possess and supply the hand tools necessary to perform required job duties.
•Obtain Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certification T8 (PMI) within 18 months.
•Be able to complete and pass DOT-regulated pre-employment background screening and DOT physical prior to employment.
•Hold a current and valid DOT medical card (or be able to complete a DOT physical if required).
