Lead roadmap and architecture for AMD’s robotics ecosystem enablement using ROS2, AMD APU platforms, ROCm/Vulkan accelerators, simulation toolchains, and integrated AI pipelines. Drive performance optimization, cross-team technical alignment across silicon/platform/AI/customer engineering, plus open-source community engagement and SDK lifecycle management.

Key Responsibilities

•Own the architecture, design principles, and roadmap for AMD’s Robotics Software Development Kit, aligned to adaptive compute and sensor-fusion plans.
•Build core SDK modules for perception, navigation (NAV2/SLAM/motion planning), manipulation (MoveIt-based stacks), and simulation interfaces (Gazebo, O3DE/Robotec.ai).
•Architect and optimize compute pipelines using ROCm, GPU compute, and AIE/FPGA acceleration; define KPIs and lead profiling/benchmarking.
•Provide cross-functional technical leadership across silicon/platform/AI/sensor and OS/hypervisor teams, guiding system design and SDK API definitions.
•Drive SDK productization and lifecycle management: release processes, documentation/API stability, and cross-version compatibility/deployment across Linux, containers, and edge devices.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: INR 7,015,960 - 10,022,800 annually

Key Requirements

•15+ years in robotics, embedded systems, or advanced compute software engineering.
•Deep expertise in ROS2 and navigation/perception stacks.
•Proficiency in C++ and Python with modern software architecture.
•GPU/accelerator programming experience with ROCm, Vulkan, and OpenCL.
•Experience integrating AI/ML pipelines into robotics systems (AIE, TensorFlow, PyTorch, ONNX).
