Job Summary

Provide effective instruction to second-language learners by teaching general faculty subjects and specialized courses in Mechanical/Mechatronics within a student-centric environment. Deliver practical, applied teaching aligned to course syllabi and program goals, support learning through assessment and continuous feedback, and provide advising and mentoring. Contribute to curriculum development, applied research, committee and student activity support, and broader academic events while helping implement system-wide strategy and policies.

Key Responsibilities

•Contribute to implementation of HCT’s system-wide strategy and assist with development/preservation of system-wide and Faculty/Division-specific policies.
•Teach courses aligned with course syllabus and program goals, using practical applied approaches and educational technology resources.
•Monitor and support student learning in a second-language environment by providing continuous feedback through tests, projects, assignments, and other assessments.
•Evaluate students, update grades, contribute to question banks/coursework assessments, and support course management and continuous improvement activities.
•Conduct applied research aligned to the faculty’s interests and the national innovation agenda; participate in conferences, mentor student research, and serve on committees and student activities.

Key Requirements

•A Ph.D. in a relevant discipline is required where applicable.
•Or a Master’s degree plus a professional certification relevant to the discipline with 5 years of teaching and industry experience.
•Or a Bachelor’s degree may be considered with extensive industry experience and industry certification as per the discipline requirement.
•Minimum of 3 years teaching experience in the relevant discipline.
•Experience developing course curriculum per accreditation and international standards, and incorporating educational technology into instruction.
