Job Summary

Process deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, and negotiable items while maintaining accurate general ledger postings and daily cash balancing. Operate online teller terminals, follow teller procedures and compliance requirements, and resolve discrepancies promptly. Provide courteous customer service, protect customer privacy, and cross-sell bank products. Support training and coordination with area personnel, complete accurate records, and handle night drop and related clerical duties as assigned.

Key Responsibilities

•Perform teller functions, including processing deposits and withdrawals, posting to general ledger accounts, and handling loan payments, savings bonds, and cashier’s checks.
•Cash checks and other negotiable instruments, examine documents for endorsements/negotiability, and process transfers between accounts.
•Verify and balance cash daily, detect and resolve discrepancies promptly, and maintain balancing records.
•Provide courteous customer service, maintain privacy of customer information, and promptly resolve client requests and inquiries.
•Follow teller procedures and compliance requirements, sell bank products (e.g., traveler’s checks, official checks, money orders), complete required reports/records, and assist with training/orientation as needed.

Key Requirements

•High school graduate or equivalent.
•Understanding of bank operations preferred.
•At least one year of related experience/cash handling preferred.
•Previous teller experience preferred.
•Ability to operate related computer applications and business equipment (e.g., adding machine, typewriter, copy machine, coin and money counting machines, telephone).
