Key Responsibilities

  • •Own and manage wastewater and DIW systems (UF, coagulation/flocculation, STP, RO, Mixed Bed/EDI, UV sterilization and polishing loops).
  • •Monitor and troubleshoot system performance and alarms; resolve upsets and excursions quickly and accurately.
  • •Drive continuous improvement to reduce downtime, chemical consumption, and operating cost; ensure effluent/DIW quality meets specs and Malaysian DOE standards.
  • •Design, specify, and manage capital/expense projects for upgrades, membrane/resin replacement, and capacity expansion; manage technical, financial, and schedule aspects.
  • •Develop and maintain SOPs and PM schedules; coordinate with controls engineers on PLC/SCADA automation; manage contractors/vendors and support audits/inspections.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor's degree or above in Chemical, Environmental, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent.
  • •5 years or more experience with wastewater and DIW systems in a semiconductor manufacturing environment.
  • •Hands-on experience with UF, coagulation/flocculation, STP operations, RO, Mixed Bed, and EDI systems, including water chemistry and chemical dosing/treatment process control.
  • •Familiarity with instruments (flow meters, conductivity/resistivity meters, pH/ORP sensors, pressure transmitters) and working knowledge of PLC/SCADA-monitored systems.
  • •Experience managing projects from scope through commissioning and knowledge of Malaysian environmental regulations.
