Key Responsibilities

•Lead the architecture, design and development of software systems and applications for Mastercard Cross Border Services (XBS).
•Define the technical strategy and provide guidance on design choices, platforms, and coding standards across the engineering team.
•Collaborate with product teams to understand requirements, propose technical solutions, and drive outcomes with high quality engineering practices.
•Evaluate build vs buy decisions and partner with fintechs/startups to create innovative solutions for cross-border payments.
•Document overall system architecture and provide high- and low-level design guidance to the engineering group.

Key Requirements

•12+ years of experience as a Software Engineer / Full Stack Developer.
•Hands-on experience with Java, Spring Boot and related frameworks.
•Experience designing and implementing microservices architectures for enterprise-scale applications.
•Strong experience with cloud platforms (AWS and/or Azure) and container orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
•Proficiency with CI/CD concepts and tools (Jenkins, Gradle, Maven) and secure code delivery practices.
