Key Responsibilities

  • •Research, plan, and design transmission and distribution substations, power systems, renewable energy solutions, and protection and control systems.
  • •Develop electrical calculations (loads, equipment sizing, grounding potentials, short-circuit studies, protective coordination) and related drawings such as one-line diagrams and switchyard layouts.
  • •Review third-party design documents, procurement lists, and project plans, and advise on technical recommendations.
  • •Prepare plans, specifications, cost estimates, and safety/phasing documentation while coordinating with owners and other disciplines.
  • •Support field investigations, prepare technical reports/presentations, and assist with risk mitigation and compliance documentation.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • •5 to 7 years of relevant post-education experience as an electrical engineer delivering design work for large capital projects.
  • •Engineer in Training certification.
  • •Proficiency in electrical engineering principles and practices, including permitting and design/build-related work.
  • •Experience developing electrical calculations and design deliverables (e.g., substations, wiring diagrams, grounding, protection and control) and supporting small to mid-level project execution.
