Job Summary

Civil Infrastructure engineer within WSP’s Transport Infrastructure group, focusing on producing designs and models for NZ projects, leading BIM process improvements, and delivering civil works from design through to tender with CAD/BIM tools. You’ll work on Christchurch projects with exposure to Civil3D, InfraWorks, Navisworks, and BIM360, contributing to planning, estimation, and construction supervision.

Key Responsibilities

•Produce designs and models (using Autodesk software packages) and drawings for a wide range of civil infrastructure projects.
•Lead and contribute to the development and improvement of Civil3D, Infraworks, Navisworks, CAD standards, drawing and BIM processes within the Civil Infrastructure service line.
•Undertake civil design tasks for engineering works and prepare estimates and schedules of quantities for projects.
•Prepare technical reports, specifications, tender documents, and requests for tender; undertake construction management and supervision.
•Provide input into project planning, scoping, verification activities, and ensure quality assurance per standards and practices.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering
•5+ years of professional experience in transportation infrastructure design delivery
•Proficiency with Civil3D, AutoCAD, Navisworks, InfraWorks, Revit, BIM 360, 12d and BIM experience
•Competent Civil 3D AutoCAD user (minimum five years preferred)
•Experience delivering projects in collaborative contracting environments (e.g. D&C, ECI, NOC, Alliance)
