Key Responsibilities

  • •Execute mechanical commissioning for chilled water, condenser water, cooling towers, pumps, heat exchangers, air handlers, computer-room cooling, and liquid-cooling equipment with associated controls.
  • •Perform flush/fill/leak/pressure tests and verify valve lineup plus flow, temperature, and pressure against design and sequence of operations.
  • •Complete point-to-point checks with controls technicians to confirm sensors, actuators, interlocks, and alarms respond correctly.
  • •Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues across pre-commissioning, commissioning, and startup phases.
  • •Develop commissioning test procedures and documentation, coordinate startup sequences with contractors and vendors, and manage closeout (redlines, punch-list items, as-builts, and reports) while adhering to LOTO and safety protocols.

Key Requirements

  • •3+ years of hands-on mechanical, HVAC, pipefitting, or commissioning experience in data centers, power plants, or large industrial facilities.
  • •Strong knowledge of chilled-water plants, pumping systems, heat transfer equipment, and mechanical distribution.
  • •Experience commissioning and using field test equipment such as pressure gauges, flow meters, and leak-detection tools.
  • •Ability to read and interpret piping and instrumentation diagrams, mechanical drawings, and equipment submittals.
  • •Strong safety mindset with current OSHA 10/30 (or equivalent) training, and willingness to work extended hours during commissioning windows.
