Job Summary

Experienced Project Manager sought to deliver Billable Works projects for the Defence estate. You’ll oversee multi-site programmes from planning through completion, coordinate internal teams and Defence stakeholders, manage supply-partner resources, review RAMS and safe systems of work, monitor budgets and schedules, and drive safety, quality and sustainability across complex programmes.

Key Responsibilities

•Take ownership of the successful delivery of Billable Works projects across the Defence estate, from planning through to completion, ensuring safety, efficiency and contractual compliance.
•Oversee a portfolio of projects and collaborate with internal teams, Defence representatives, customers and site stakeholders to deliver against programmes, budgets and quality standards.
•Manage Supply Partner project teams, allocate resources, ensure appropriate equipment, vehicles and skills, and monitor contractor performance for high workmanship and safety standards.
•Review RAMS and safe systems of work, support JSP 375 compliance, and work with Authorised Persons to maintain a strong safety culture on all projects.
•Develop and manage project plans, budgets and delivery programmes, monitor progress, identify risks and opportunities, and provide regular performance updates to the Senior Project Manager.

Travel: Medium travel

Salary: GBP 50,000 - 55,000 annually

Key Requirements

•Essential: relevant technical qualification or equivalent experience, plus IOSH Managing Safely, Asbestos Awareness and Legionella Control (L8)
•Strong IT skills and a full UK driving licence
•SMSTS experience would be desirable
•Experience managing projects through the full lifecycle in construction, facilities management, engineering or a similar delivery environment
•Proactive, organised, commercially aware with the ability to manage costs and ensure safe, compliant delivery
