Key Responsibilities

  • •Review and approve monthly financing accounting entries, reconciliations, and supporting documentation to ensure close-cycle accuracy.
  • •Build scalable automated financial processes and controls for prime financing, including drafting SOPs to reduce manual effort and support SOX compliance.
  • •Lead the monthly close, quarterly reporting, and annual audit processes, ensuring deadlines and audit-ready deliverables.
  • •Partner with cross-functional teams to provide accounting insights on SEC regulations and lending practices, translating regulatory changes into guidance.
  • •Design and implement new controls and processes for platform and brokerage accounting activities, identifying gaps and recommending improvements as the business grows.

Key Requirements

  • •CPA designation with 9+ years of progressive accounting experience, including Big 4 and industry roles in fintech or financial services.
  • •Direct experience with financing, lending, or prime brokerage accounting at a publicly traded company with familiarity with SEC reporting requirements.
  • •Proven ability to build accounting processes and internal controls from scratch, including SOP design and automation that reduces close timelines or errors.
  • •Experience leading teams through monthly close cycles and quarterly/annual reporting while meeting regulatory deadlines.
  • •Working proficiency in NetSuite, FloQast, and Google Suite; responsible use of generative AI with human oversight.
