Key Responsibilities

  • •Operate the vehicle and transport loads safely and on time along required routes while obeying traffic laws and safety regulations.
  • •Maneuver truck and trailer into loading/unloading areas and follow loading crew signals.
  • •Assist with loading and unloading using specialized equipment when needed; return equipment to designated areas.
  • •Maintain and deliver required documentation (invoices, shipping bills of lading, and other paperwork) after deliveries are complete.
  • •Perform routine service on trucks (e.g., oil, water, gasoline, air) and report maintenance malfunctions to the Shipping Supervisor, plus arrange trailers for optimum yard loading patterns.

Key Requirements

  • •Operate a vehicle safely and legally under applicable state and federal transportation regulations.
  • •Hold either a commercial drivers license (Class A CDL) or a chauffeur’s license (depending on state) appropriate for the vehicle weight.
  • •Pass required background and drug testing, and pass a DOT physical for trucks over 10k lbs.
  • •Be at least 21 years old and be able to perform physical requirements, including lifting/moving up to 40 pounds.
  • •Maintain focus in a busy environment and communicate professionally and courteously with customers and staff at delivery points.
