Key Responsibilities

  • •Assist in planning and executing geotechnical and field investigations.
  • •Support drilling, sampling, test pit programs, and installation of geotechnical instrumentation.
  • •Log soil, rock, and frozen ground samples while maintaining detailed field records.
  • •Compile and interpret geotechnical laboratory and field data and support analyses for foundations, embankments, earthworks, pavements, and slope stability.
  • •Assist in preparing geotechnical reports and supporting site inspections, construction monitoring, proposal preparation, and technical documentation.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Geological Engineering, or Geotechnical Engineering.
  • •Registered as an Engineer-in-Training (EIT), or eligible for registration with APEGA.
  • •Preferred: 1 year of relevant geotechnical engineering experience (e.g., internships or co-op).
  • •Master’s degree in Geotechnical Engineering or Geological Engineering (preferred).
  • •Familiarity with permafrost terrain assessment and strong verbal and written communication skills.
