Job Summary

Supervise and coordinate the Value-Added Services (VAS) department’s safety, production, workforce, and shipping outcomes. Lead inbound/outbound shipping activities to meet daily Value Added Service volume goals, accuracy, and timeliness. Assist with scheduling, staging layout planning, employee coaching, safety training, and annual performance evaluations. Drive weekly planning, KPI performance, and quality by reviewing shipping records, bills of lading, and pick tickets while ensuring special labeling and instructions are followed.

•Supervise and coordinate the safety, activities, production, workforce, processes, and outcomes for the VAS department.
•Oversee incoming shipping activities to ensure quality, accuracy, completeness, and condition of shipments.
•Plan and establish shift schedules for special, seasonal, and periodic peak periods and slowdowns.
•Conduct weekly meetings to review shipping goals, departmental and individual work schedules, and equipment maintenance and safety issues.
•Train and advise employees on care and preservation of goods, and ensure special labeling and non-routine shipping instructions are followed.

•Experience with automated and manual operations in a distribution center.
