Key Responsibilities

  • •Supervise and coordinate the safety, activities, production, workforce, processes, and outcomes for the VAS department.
  • •Oversee incoming shipping activities to ensure quality, accuracy, completeness, and condition of shipments.
  • •Plan and establish shift schedules for special, seasonal, and periodic peak periods and slowdowns.
  • •Conduct weekly meetings to review shipping goals, departmental and individual work schedules, and equipment maintenance and safety issues.
  • •Train and advise employees on care and preservation of goods, and ensure special labeling and non-routine shipping instructions are followed.

Key Requirements

  • •1 to 2 years’ experience with facility maintenance in a medium to large distribution center or manufacturing operation.
  • •1 to 2 years’ experience in a leadership role or similar role.
  • •Experience using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • •WMS system experience and familiarity with supply chain software used at the site.
  • •Experience with automated and manual operations in a distribution center.
