Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide innovative engineering solutions for difficult problems and assess potential conditions adverse to quality.
  • •Perform tasks in accordance with nuclear safety and personnel safety expectations.
  • •Conduct regular walkdowns of systems to gather information supporting design and analysis activities.
  • •Develop long-range improvement plans for key plant assets, including obsolete equipment, OE vulnerabilities, and upgrade opportunities.
  • •Prepare and present reports with recommendations; coordinate assigned projects/studies and occasionally lead special projects and committees.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in engineering (mechanical preferred).
  • •6 years related experience, with at least 3 years in a nuclear power plant environment.
  • •Extensive mechanical design engineering knowledge across system/component design, heat transfer, and fluid flow analysis.
  • •Knowledge of piping system design, including ANSI standards and ASME code requirements.
  • •Experience performing design changes (calculations, modifications, specifications, and designs) and conducting 10CFR50.59 reviews.
