Key Responsibilities

  • •Deliver and evolve mobile customer workflows end to end, partnering with Product and Design and shaping technical design across the mobile/backend boundary.
  • •Help modernise the mobile architecture by transitioning from predominantly native iOS/Android development to React Native, defining boundaries and influencing patterns and practices.
  • •Operate mobile software in production at scale by monitoring availability, performance, accuracy, security, scalability, automating processes, and contributing to incident response and post-mortems.
  • •Improve engineering efficiency by removing friction, simplifying systems, and using automation and AI-assisted development to shorten feedback loops.
  • •Raise the engineering bar through mentoring, thoughtful code reviews, and technical guidance to improve both software quality and team capability.

Key Requirements

  • •Strong experience building and shipping production mobile applications using Swift (iOS) and/or Kotlin (Android).
  • •Deep knowledge of native mobile engineering realities including performance, lifecycle management, release processes, observability, reliability, and operating software in production.
  • •Motivation to develop React Native capability as the mobile architecture evolves, contributing to the transition while maintaining strong native engineering judgement.
  • •Experience owning complex mobile features end to end, from technical design and implementation through release, measurement, and ongoing operation.
  • •Ability to work across the mobile/backend boundary; experience with APIs or Backend-for-Frontend (BFF) patterns is highly valuable.
