Key Responsibilities

  • •Support ground investigation projects, including desk studies, site inspections, rockface surveys, and geomorphological mapping.
  • •Assist with planning and procurement of ground investigations and support senior staff supervising on-site activities.
  • •Contribute to gathering, managing, and interpreting geological and geotechnical data using Openground and Leapfrog.
  • •Help prepare interpretative and design reports, ground models, and technical documentation in line with relevant guidelines and standards.
  • •Provide design support for foundations, retaining walls, slope stability, earthworks, and rock slope stabilisation, and assist with tender documentation.
Travel: Low travel

Key Requirements

  • •Currently pursuing a degree in Civil Engineering, Engineering Geology, or Geology, with an expected 2:1 classification (or equivalent) or higher.
  • •Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with AutoCAD or Civil 3D is advantageous.
  • •Strong interest in geotechnics and enthusiasm for engaging with multi-disciplinary colleagues and clients.
  • •Willing to travel for work, including visits to project sites (and possibly other AECOM offices).
  • •Effective communicator in English, able to write, present, create drawings, and prepare reports.
