Key Responsibilities

•Geological site characterization: conduct site investigations, geological mapping, and data collection to inform project design and development.
•Geotechnical analysis: analyze geological data to assess site conditions, rock mechanics, and potential geological hazards.
•Design and development: collaborate with engineers to design and develop hydropower and PSP projects, integrating geological considerations into plans.
•Risk assessment and mitigation: identify and mitigate geological/geotechnical risks throughout project development and operation.
•Collaboration and communications: work with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to ensure effective project delivery and DPR clearances

Key Requirements

•Master’s degree in Geology or Engineering Geology
•Minimum 15 years of experience in engineering geology in the hydropower industry
•Strong knowledge of geological principles, rock mechanics, and geotechnics
•Proficiency in geological software and tools, such as geological modeling and analysis software
•Experience coordinating with appraisal agencies and project stakeholders
