•Represent clients as lead counsel or as part of a team with high-quality trial advocacy and proactive case management in accordance with Nationwide Trial Division guidelines.
•Operate with minimal managerial oversight, collaborating with the Managing Trial Attorney and NTD Leadership.
•Utilize technology and work with support staff to ensure efficient case management and communications.
•Stay aware of changes to law, technology, local rules, and procedural requirements impacting liability and recovery in assigned jurisdictions.
•Develop expertise in NTD concentrations and mentor junior attorneys and staff, while maintaining strong client and internal relationships.

Key Requirements

•Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school with an active license in the state where the position is located
•Typically more than eight years of relevant civil litigation experience in property and casualty insurance defense or subrogation
•Strong analytical, negotiation, and written/verbal communication skills; able to independently serve as lead counsel or work within a team
•Ability to work from a hybrid or remote setup with frequent travel and to mentor junior attorneys and staff
•Proven ability to manage complex cases, leverage technology for case management, and adapt to changes in law and court procedures
