Key Responsibilities

  • •Support the Chief Executive Office to design and execute Nuton’s overall strategy, including vision/mission, framework, and business strategy aligned with Rio Tinto’s Copper Group strategy.
  • •Develop and execute strategic initiatives to support the business plan, including supporting construction of a technology deployment portfolio and securing internal approvals.
  • •Coordinate global teams to drive pipeline management improvements, target evaluations, and technology deployment strategies.
  • •Lead internal stakeholder mapping and corporate relations strategy, including engagement with trade associations and government officials in project locations.
  • •Spearhead communications and branding strategy, direct annual planning for strategic alignment, and support Nuton CEO in identifying technology deployment sites in South America.
Travel: Low travel

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in Sociology, Communications, Journalism, Media Studies, or a related field, and 10 years of post-baccalaureate related work experience.
  • •5 years of experience in mining industry work with understanding of the mining sector in Latin America, including communication strategies and media, mining production process knowledge, change management, and stakeholder management.
  • •4 years of experience in bio-heap leach technology.
  • •International travel required up to 5% and domestic travel required up to 5%.
  • •Ability to manage and coordinate global teams, approvals, and technology deployment planning activities.
