Key Responsibilities

  • •Maintain line production by following safety, quality, and attendance policies, and ensuring film passes quality assurance testing.
  • •Act as a safety role model: report hazards/unsafe acts/close calls, enter near-miss data into Global Data Center (GDC), and help investigate incidents and root causes.
  • •Provide training and development for assigned employees, including ensuring proper training and running employees through safety, quality, productivity, and housekeeping expectations.
  • •Run proper line startup/shutdown, check line paperwork, and ensure product is produced to specifications during size/gauge and grade (including color) changes.
  • •Troubleshoot process, mechanical, and electrical problems and support or investigate line/equipment stoppages; act as backup supervisor when the Shift Supervisor is absent.

  • •Ability to use hand tools and measuring instruments, and read/understand work orders and simple instructions/checklists.
  • •Knowledge of the extrusion process, including calibrating machines and understanding different systems.
  • •Ability to troubleshoot process, mechanical, and electrical problems to keep production running.
  • •Ability to communicate with employees and provide training, including supporting required trainings for operators.
  • •Forklift license capability and ability to work overtime to support a 24/7 site, including lifting up to 65 lbs.
