Key Responsibilities

  • •Undertake first line of defence assurance testing to confirm the business operates in line with laws, regulations, and Group standards.
  • •Review risks and key controls through end-to-end process walkthroughs, events/thematic reviews, data-driven reviews, issue read-across, and evidence reviews.
  • •Provide oversight of controls via Risk Control Assessments (RCAs) and Continuous Monitoring Assessments in Helios, including monitoring, assurance, incident reporting, and management information.
  • •Validate the design and operating effectiveness of key controls using inspection, inquiry, observation, sampling, re-performance, and recalculation.
  • •Track and follow up on continuous monitoring actions, escalate issues when needed, report progress to the Chief Control Officer, and coordinate training sessions for colleagues when required.

  • •Proven background at this level in relevant environments such as Risk, Audit, Assurance, Compliance and/or Governance.
  • •Excellent attention to detail and experience delivering gap analysis.
  • •Experience contributing to the monitoring and implementation of policies, governance frameworks, procedures, practices, and standards for risk management and regulatory compliance.
  • •Strong written and spoken communication skills, with experience influencing stakeholders via compelling, data-led discussion and presentations.
