Key Responsibilities

  • •Collaborate with operations to identify and remove constraints to maximize on-stream time and profitability while ensuring safe, environmentally compliant, reliable operations.
  • •Analyze complex operating issues and provide recommendations to improve performance.
  • •Support gap closure and continuous improvement through technical expertise, engineering calculations, and justification for capital and expense projects.
  • •Lead capital, expense, and special project scope development, execution, and support.
  • •Provide technical expertise during troubleshooting, turnarounds, startups, shutdowns, catalyst changes, and other non-routine unit activities, while mentoring and coaching less experienced engineers.

Key Requirements

  • •B.S. or higher degree in chemical engineering or a related field.
  • •10+ years of manufacturing experience with background in partial oxidation and syngas-methanol production.
  • •Strong mastery of unit processes and unit operations principles (e.g., mass/energy balances, thermodynamics, heat/mass transfer, distillation).
  • •Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work across multi-disciplinary teams.
  • •Strong process troubleshooting skills and knowledge of tools/resources to support technical activities.
