Job Summary

Lead electrical engineering delivery for Healthcare, Life Science, Industrial, and Commercial capital projects within the Property & Buildings team. Provide high-level technical guidance and oversight for electrical systems design (lighting, controls, fire alarm, power distribution), including compliance with codes and standards. Coordinate reviews and approvals for complex infrastructure designs across project phases, manage technical investigations, and mentor staff while identifying business development opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

•Provide oversight by collecting, compiling, and analyzing site, survey, blueprint, GIS, and equipment/specification data to support procurement and detailed design/review processes using applicable standards and regulations.
•Coordinate, review, and approve electrical infrastructure design plans for mid-level and complex projects to ensure compliance with codes, ordinances, and regulations.
•Apply advanced electrical engineering techniques across project phases (concept through operation) to identify improvements and ensure design, safety, and functionality.
•Conduct investigations and inspections of proposed and existing site conditions, including substation layout, grounding grid design, and lightning protection to confirm conformance with rules and permits.
•Mentor and manage staff, lead larger-scale electrical engineering projects, and contribute to business development by developing client relationships and identifying opportunities.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering.
•10+ years of post-education experience as an electrical engineer delivering power distribution design for capital projects in Healthcare, Life Science, and commercial-scale settings.
•Engineer license required (multi-state preferred).
•Expertise in infrastructure planning and electrical design/build work, including permitting and program/construction management (with experience working with adjacent disciplines such as P&C, SCADA, and telecom).
•Strong knowledge of electrical construction laws, codes, regulations, compliance practices, and record-keeping, plus ability to lead/guide mid- to senior-level team or project members with QA/QC adherence.
