Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform audits, troubleshooting, repairs, and preventive maintenance for automated material handling system components in the fulfillment center.
  • •Diagnose mechanical and electrical problems using technical drawings and diagnostic tools, and provide resolutions to mechanical and technical/control issues.
  • •Troubleshoot PLCs and external I/O devices; troubleshoot and repair key fulfillment center components.
  • •Assist other technicians/mechanics in repairing and maintaining equipment; coordinate maintenance activities to ensure safe task completion.
  • •Complete work orders and maintain inventory of company-supplied tools, while performing general facility maintenance as needed.

Key Requirements

  • •5–10 years of related experience in mechanical troubleshooting, technical troubleshooting, maintenance and/or installation.
  • •Strong electrical background with knowledge of low-voltage controls and PLC, including experience with 3-phase systems up to 480VAC for repair, installation, and maintenance.
  • •Experience troubleshooting and repairing conveyor and/or sortation equipment and completing preventative/predictive maintenance, modifications, and upgrades.
  • •Ability to troubleshoot Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and external input/output (I/O) devices.
  • •Ability to work safely on-site, including at heights of 40 ft or more, and follow safety procedures such as lock-out/tag-out.
