Key Responsibilities

  • •Design and build platform-level primitives that enable other teams to ship reliable services.
  • •Develop and maintain a declarative service configuration framework to provision, deploy, and operate new services.
  • •Define and implement the contract for service ownership and build a service catalogue to accelerate incident resolution.
  • •Create durable workflow orchestration and standard patterns that scale across hundreds of engineers.
  • •Collaborate with product teams to improve developer experience and reliability across Cursor’s infrastructure.

Key Requirements

  • •Experience building internal developer platforms, service frameworks, or infrastructure abstractions that other engineers depend on.
  • •Extensive experience with Temporal or durable workflow engines and related orchestration systems.
  • •Focus on developer experience and designing for simplicity and correctness by default.
  • •Experience with deployment tooling, CI/CD pipelines, or service mesh architectures.
  • •Ability to reason about microservice vs monolith architectures and help teams navigate service decomposition.
